During the summer of 2016, I built a RepRap. It’s long name is P3Steel Toolson Edition MK2 and it is a Prusa i3 variant.
The frame and printed parts were designed by several different people and there are no centralized instructions for building this particular machine. In fact the website where all the printed parts came from is in German. Danke Toolson! But I was really attracted to this particular design for its simplicity and rigidity. I wanted to self-source all the parts for two reasons; I wanted to search for high quality components (bearings, shafts, etc.), and I knew I wanted to eventually design my own from scratch, so knowing where to source would be useful. The gallery is an overview of the build.
Here she is, working after many, many hours of calibration.
